OPEL KADETT RALLYE 1900

The Opel Rallye Kadett is easily recognized by the two characteristic black stripes along the side and by the black-matted surfaces of the bonnet. Under the hood sits Opel's rally-proven 1.9 liter engine. It has an overhead camshaft with 102 HP. This car should not be talked about, it should be driven!  READ MORE

Excerpted from the Opel sales catalog from 1969:
The Opel Rallye Kadett is easily recognized by the two characteristic black stripes along the side and by the black-matted surfaces of the bonnet. Under the hood sits Opel's rally-proven 1.9 liter engine.
Den har överliggande kamaxel och är på 90HK. Den här bilen ska man inte prata om, den skall köras!
Sit behind the steering wheel, adjust the seat so that you are sitting with your arms stretched just right. Then shift into first gear and accelerate away… a look at the tachometer… shift (it's in tenths of a second with the short floor stick). You reach 100 km/h in about 13 seconds.
Try the brakes (oversized front discs) and feel the road characteristics. Everything feels right – the car is built to be driven hard!
The text from the catalog matched better than expected. In Sweden, Opel's Rallye version immediately became a success story in the rally sport. With SM victories in both Group 1 and 2.
In the 1970 RAC Rally, Opel's Rally Kadette came second, third and fourth, with a great OPEL team consisting of the Swedes: Bus-Ove Eriksson, Lillebror Nasenius and Janne "Satan" Henriksson in the lead.

We can now present another fine and sought-after example of Opel's Kadett Rallye. This car was sold new on the 19th of January 1970, to Lars Löfroth living in Umeå, in the north of Sweden. Since then, the car has lived its life almost exclusively up in the North. The car is in very nice condition and was repainted a few years ago.
The upholstery is complete and clean and, together with the fine paintwork, gives a nice and well-kept impression.
Engine and gearbox are fast and nice. It runs really well and really lives up to what the sales catalog said back in 1969.
Don't miss the chance to become the owner of this rally rarity, which is now very hard to find. Contact us for more info.
